Carmel Trip Part 6 Featured Mom: Linsay and Owen

It has been a crazy week and I don’t know if it’s just being back in this hot weather that’s making me sluggish or what, but I’m struggling to get things done! In any event here is the last post from our wonderful Carmel trip.

The boys were obsessed with the BagPiper at Spanish Bay. So much that we saw him twice during our trip and Conrad has constantly asked for him since being back. So we have been watching a lot of bagpiper videos on YouTube! The picture above is my absolute favorite from the trip! Owen had taught Conrad how to roll down hills and this is Conrad inaction while Owen is grooming the golf course sand trap below!

On one of the days we traveled to Big Sur for the sole purpose of eating at the Nepenthe Restaurant. They are famous for their burgers so of course I got one, but I have to say, coming from Texas it was not the best I’ve ever had, but good. You really come to the restaurant for the view. Carmel Trip Part 4 Featured Mom: Linsay and Owen

Our Carmel trip pictures continue with Linsay and Owen! I guess a bad thing about taking so many pictures on a vacation is that it is so hard to go through and pick favorites as there are so many great ones! Here we are in Big Sur on Pfeiffer beach. A beautiful and fairly secluded area as it’s a brief hike to get to, which wasn’t easy with two busy boys. But well worth the trip! Here’s what we are wearing . . .  

 

Carmel Trip Part 3

On one of the nights Linsay and I got a sitter for the boys and had dinner at Mission Ranch. I didn’t pack heels for the trip as it is “against the law” to wear high heels in Carmel without a permit. I’m serious, it’s true! But I used “ ” because it’s not really enforced. The story is a woman twisted her ankle on a cracked sidewalk, or something to that affect, and sued the city. You may apply for a permit at City Hall and I personally know someone that has one! Needless to say my Chanel flats were my heel alternative. Here’s what we are wearing . . .

 

Carmel Trip Part 2 Featured Mom: Linsay and Owen

Here we are at a great little park across from Carmel Plaza Shopping center. This was our first visit but we took the boys there several times. It was perfect for playing golf! Here’s what we are wearing .  .  .
