We arrived in Carmel!

Despite wearing Conrad's super heavy carseat as a backpack through the airport, yesterday's traveling really was no problem. Conrad was the best I could have hoped. He stayed in his seat the entire time, slept for about an hour and amused himself with a little bit of coloring, playing with toys and watching a few things on the IPad. He basically kept rotating activities throughout the flight. I was assisted by a nice man who carried Conrad's carseat to our seat while I collapsed and gate checked the stroller. After landing we were of course the last ones to leave the plane mostly due to turning the car seat back into a backpack. Our luggage arrived no problem. But I got a little nervous when I realized we had to take a shuttle bus to the rental car area. Luckily another nice man carried on my suitcase while I threw on the heavy carseat. Then the bus driver allowed the stroller on without collapsing and carried that on for us as well. Conrad enjoyed the brief bus ride sitting on my lap. Since we flew into San Jose, Conrad and I had to drive about and hour and a half to Carmel. Luckily C was great throughout that as well. Finally we arrived and Conrad was beyond excited to see his best friend Owen!

We are busy running around and enjoying this amazingly cool weather but here’s a pic of Owen and Conrad today at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  More pics of Owen to come soon as he will be featured with Linsay, our next Featured Mom!
